In over 50 years of combined experience managing all aspects of special events from conception, planning to execution, our team at Distinct Locations has the savvy to help you navigate through the entirety of your event.  At Distinct Locations we understand that successful events always consist of two primary ingredients.  The first, is your guests as you will see their faces captured in every photo; smiling, laughing, dancing and being happy with you. The second, present in those same photos and setting the stage for your extraordinary celebration, is your distinct venue that exudes a unique privacy with an off the beaten path atmosphere. This backdrop affirms the age old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words and will play host to your special day and give you memories that will last a lifetime.

Meet Our Leaders


For over 20 years Jen has taken an amazing journey through the hospitality industry, creating world class experiences for brides and corporate CEO’s, alike. Although she's worked up and down the California coast, she's been happily settled in the Napa Valley for the last 16 years, with her husband and business partner Doug Pike.  During this time, Jen has created and lead a high profile and successful catering  team, producing stunning events in an array of the most unique places in Northern California. 

With their combined years of experience in the industry and genuine zest for identifying wonderful settings, Jen and Doug are continually pulling in new venues that will enhance the Distinct Locations portfolio of amazing properties, in hopes of having the perfect location for your important event. When they are not out scouting one of a kind places and cultivating unforgettable experiences, Jen and Doug enjoy being adventurous with their three beautiful daughters, always finding interesting and special places to etch lasting family memories. They hope to be able to help you find your special place that will create your forever memories, too!

Cailey's Story

Event Venue Manager

Joining Distinct Locations as our Event Venue Manager, Cailey Buck has an abundance of wonderful properties in her portfolio to marry with your vision of a perfect event. A graduate of Boston University, Cailey has traveled cross country on her journey to the wine country. Prior to joining our staff Cailey worked for Chip and Joanna Gaines at Magnolia Market in Texas, where she worked on marketing, organizing successful product launches, and participating in events for the company. Here she refined her visionary and management skills. Cailey’s proudest accomplishment to date is the conceptualization and establishment of her own successful start-up business. She began a local bakery delivery service in Texas and was featured by The TODAY Show winning best chocolate chip cookie in 2015. Cailey now gets to share with you her stately eye for design and passion for helping others find the perfect setting to celebrate life’s joyous moments.  If you are interested in seeing any of our distinct locations in person, she will assist you in finding a one of a kind place for your celebration!


arica's Story

Event Logistics & Design Expert

Arica Covey joins Distinct Locations as our event logistics & design expert.  As a St. Helena native who grew up in the lavish events industry of the Napa Valley, Arica can walk into any space and know exactly how the event should operate, flow and look. After years of attending and assisting with local events such as the world famous Auction Napa Valley, The Napa Valley Film Festival, and Festival Napa Valley (to name just a few), Arica has become one with the event industry. After her studies in Event Planning and Hospitality at the prestigious Hospitality and Culinary school – Johnson & Wales University in Denver, Colorado, Arica joined the staff at the stunning Forbes triple five star property of Meadowood Napa Valley. Running events from weddings, to corporate dinners, birthday parties, to annual galas, Arica’s talents blossomed into her very own company, Events by Arica Grace, where she takes her eye for detail and passion for events and marries them together. She can’t wait to share her talents with you and ensure that every inch of your unique location is perfect on your special day. 


Vicky's Story

Brand Ambassador

Born and raised in Sonoma, CA, Vicky Thompson always expressed lofty aspirations in life.  Many of her tremendous qualities can be attributed to the hard work and dedication she developed on her way to a Division 1 college basketball career for the UC Davis Aggies. As a student athlete, Vicky honed her teamwork skills and ignited her passion for connecting with others; graduating with her BA degree in Communications. Vicky has extensive experience in the event business, having worked for the special events team for the MLB affiliate Sacramento Rivercats, where she helped create and execute many team actiivities and celebrations.  Always aspiring to return to her roots in the wine country, Vicky made her way home working in sales and marketing for a successful wine and spirits distributor.       

Today, Vicky and her husband reside in Napa, raising their beautiful daughter, Scarlett.  She looks forward to welcoming you to one of our distinct locations soon.
